ABOUT PRESENTER

Michael Ashley (MASH) is the Founder and CEO of Foclarity, an AI-powered hiring platform that helps startups and small businesses connect with high-potential early-career talent. With over 25 years of experience at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and execution, he has launched and scaled startups, led multiple successful exits—including one as co-founder and CTO—and built an incubator at San José State University. His work focuses on helping organizations move beyond outdated hiring models and build future-ready teams. In addition to leading Foclarity, Michael serves as an Adjunct Professor at San José State University’s College of Business, where he teaches courses in Marketing, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. He’s passionate about hiring for potential over pedigree and building systems that work for both employers and job seekers in a rapidly evolving workforce.
