Helen Masamori is a dedicated business owner, advisor, and community leader based in San Jose, California. Originally from Brazil and fluent in four languages, Helen founded the Helen Masamori Insurance Agency nearly a decade ago, offering customized insurance solutions for individuals and businesses throughout the Bay Area, including home, life, renters, and business insurance.

As a Business Advisor with the Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Helen brings over 20 years of administrative and entrepreneurial experience to help clients start, grow, and manage their businesses. She guides entrepreneurs through entity formation, licensing, compliance, financial planning, and risk management, providing practical advice tailored to each client’s needs.

Helen also serves as co-president of the Alum Rock Business Association, connecting local entrepreneurs with essential resources and opportunities. She is a board member of the Silicon Valley Business Alliance, where she helps foster economic prosperity and employment opportunities by advocating for fair and equitable small business policies that support entrepreneurs, promote sustainability, and strengthen the local economy. Additionally, Helen is an active member of the City of San José Small Business Task Force, where she collaborates on initiatives to improve the local business climate, and she serves on the BART/VTA Community Working Group, contributing to inclusive community and economic development discussions.
